Elites Sports Management actively participated in a significant initiative spearheaded by the Africa Arise Youth Foundation, a prominent Zimbabwean NGO. The central objective of this initiative was to raise funds for the procurement and distribution of 42 million sanitary pads to address the pressing needs of young girls in Zimbabwe. Elites Sports Management acknowledges the critical importance of inclusivity and recognizes that access to sanitary pads is an essential aspect of ensuring the well-being and dignity of young girls.
According to a reputable Zimbabwean newspaper article published on May 28, 2017, it was reported that over 62% of girls in Zimbabwe face financial constraints that prevent them from affording sanitary pads. Consequently, many of these girls are compelled to miss school due to the fear of embarrassment and ridicule. In response to this distressing situation, Elites Sports Management made a substantial contribution by donating over 1,000 sanitary pads to alleviate the immediate challenges faced by these young girls. However, we are acutely aware that this issue persists and requires ongoing efforts to effect meaningful change.
As an organization, Elites Sports Management remains steadfast in our commitment to addressing this issue and elevating awareness surrounding the importance of menstrual health and hygiene for young girls. We recognize that sustained action and collaboration with stakeholders are necessary to create lasting impact and empower the next generation of Zimbabwean women. By actively supporting initiatives and organizations dedicated to this cause, we aim to contribute to a society where all girls have equal opportunities to pursue education and personal growth.
We remain dedicated to championing this cause and look forward to exploring further avenues for collaboration and impact in the future.
